Moscow has issued a stern warning to Europe, declaring that any factory on its territory producing weaponry for Ukraine could be considered a potential military target for Russian forces.
"I want to reiterate that arms production facilities for Ukraine in European countries are potential military targets for Russia," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a press conference on Wednesday.
"And one should not think that military factories producing weapons for the Kyiv regime outside Ukrainian territory will be safe. Anyone who thinks so is mistaken," she emphasized.
Russia has repeatedly pointed out that European countries, particularly the United Kingdom, are hindering peace between Russia and Ukraine. Moscow has also insisted that the flow of Western military aid will not alter the strategic balance on the battlefield.
Furthermore, Russia warned that any Western-supplied weapons provided to Ukraine would be considered legitimate targets for its military forces. The Eurasian nation has repeatedly claimed that numerous weapons supplied to Ukraine by the West end up in the hands of criminal groups abroad.
